Immediately upset because Proby should have put a trigger warning on this book. While I’m only at the beginning of this book and trust that she will handle the issue of eating disorders with respect, the prologue could be triggering for readers. I’m pretty disappointed that one wasn’t included. You would think that would be an obvious thing to do….

Also don’t love the school/teenage shooter aspect to this story—not needed at all. It’s bad enough this occurs in the real world. It’s truly not necessary in a ROMANCE novel.

I feel like the introduce of Blaze and his role in this story is lazy writing. Something just for the sake of bringing drama to the story. A more relevant and potentially more moving final confront ion scene like the Eden family still not liking Jasper and the two coming together to overcome that. This Blaze angle just felt cliche.

I really thought Foster was going to be my least favorite Devney Perry hero. Well congratulations Jasper Vale—you are now the one. Great example of how idiot men don’t go to therapy and bring toxicity into the lives of others. Real great work, pal.

This is starting to feel like a repeat of the last book—toxic and weird relationship with an ex Jasper? Also super pissed at his shitty attitude when meeting Eloise’s family. Redeem yourself already! Being the hero Eloise deserves instead of this poor excuse of a husband.

WTF is Jasper such a man child? You basically asked Eloise to stay married to go to a wedding, but you can’t man up to go to one family dinner. By now, I would have kicked your ass to the curb.

So far, one word best describes this book: ~cringe~.

Literally every single decision by these people is so bad. Why have Devney Perry’s last two books had such pathetic heroes? Which is a shame because I really adored Griffin and Knox.

Also, Jas feels like a weird nickname for a man and not sexy at all.

Also, the threat of spankings by Jasper in this are boring and cliche. Just do it instead of threatening it!

Damn it….I absolutely despise secret baby romances. Ughhh—and I was so looking forward to this to wrap up the awesome mystery element. I’ll probably save this for another day…maybe

This rubbed me the wrong way. Don’t love the generalization here. Do better for your fellow woman. Women are complex and beautiful creatures. To separate them into categories like this is disappointing.

I really enjoy reading Charlie and Dalton’s story—very fun to see that tension and pressure build up and explode between the two. My only complaint is that the ending felt a little unfinished, which I’m guessing will be resolved with the next one in this series :)
