I incorrectly thought this novel was YA for the longest time. Now I realize it’s more like The Secret History meets Tom Lake (although it was written before Tom Lake).

I like how each character has a hamartia established right from the beginning.

This novel is quite entertaining and funny, but it is in need of better editing. I’ve found a grammatical error and the season alternates between autumn and winter between scenes.
