This is a favorite comfort read and this edition does not disappoint!

I was starting to falter on this one but past the halfway point it really picks up. Now I want to read it faster than I can with the audiobook, which isn't the worst problem to have.

I really like both MLs but this book uses one of the tropes I really dislike in books: when the narrator specifically doesn't think about plot-related things they're up to so the reader won't find out too soon.

I'm enjoying Act 3 way more than Act 2. "Brief Lives" was incredible.

This might be a rare book that doesn't work in audio form, which is unfortunate because my library only has that. The abrupt changes in POV and character are so confusing that even though I want to stay interested in the story, it's losing me. Also, 8% in and I haven't gotten to the premise on the back of the book yet?

The story hooked me right away, despite use of present tense and the combination of first person and third person POV. It hasn't gotten very spooky yet but there's hints of it around the edges.

Listened through the first chapter. It has a lot of humor and charm but hasn't fully snagged me yet.

Pretty good space opera adventure so far. There were a little too many details about modding and mod tech at the start for me, but it did help give weight to the idea that Nika is a very talented modder.

A little surprised that there's so much left in the book based on how plotlines are converging, but still curious to see where it goes.

I should've guessed that Qven's chapters would be odd but I was not ready.

Not even two chapters later and a sixth POV is introduced. This book isn't worth my time.

I don't live books that have multiple POVs all told from first person but to introduce a fifth POV halfway through seems absurd.

82% into this book and something finally happened to make me catch my breath and eagerly keep reading and a few sentences later, it turned out to be nothing after all. That has been the entire book (for me) so far...

This is just as charming (if not more so) than Good Omens. I don't know why it took me so long to get started on Pratchett's books but I'm glad I finally did!

I like the story but it's told in a dense, somewhat meandering way that makes it difficult to read at my usual speed. My copy is from the library so I suspect I may have to shelve this for a later date since it's almost due.
