I've been brought to tears multiple times, and I'm only half way through. His interaction with Jane Goodall (my hero since high school) and the elephants in India. OMG, elephants. And really, all of the animal kingdom. Humans suck ass.

I love this book. He's living the life I was too intimidated to attempt on my own. He's a boy, so there's the obvious difference. But I'm so intrigued by the fearlessness of adventure to do what truly matters in the realm of humanity. I've wasted 30+ years of my life not following my passion for wildlife, and the earth, and the network that humans are not in sync with.

I really enjoyed this story. I'm looking forward to the next book. I enjoyed the main character beinga female with great strength, and that the characters were gender balanced.

I don't know if I can get into this after reading (and not getting to finish) Game of Thrones. Downfall of library loans, I guess. This came back on the wait list today. I have 7 days to finish it. And I'm 20 of 21 on the wait list for Thrones.
