Quite repetitive but the setting is gorgeous!! FMC’s family is so unhinged and intrusive ugh!!

Halfway through and I’m ready for it to finish. It’s dragging a little bit. The experience of reading this one is WAY different to the first two which I LOVED.

Great writing and plot but you can tell the author has been hurt by Catholicism.

I am extending grace to not take things personally because at the end of the day, this isn't a personal attack nor is anybody forcing me to read it!

I’m over halfway through this book and it’s dragging. There’s a lot of telling and not enough showing. There isn’t enough yearning (for my taste) and there isn’t a solid reason why they can’t be together. Lacks substance but still fine enough for me to not put it down

I love that you can FEEL the atmosphere in this book. Whether it’s something you can see, smell or feel, it’s all so palpable. I love how Bec’s words the atmosphere

The writing is very lighthearted and fun. For some reasons, there are certain settings that feel so "right" in my brain. Jim and Carey at the pool chatting about life... ah, something about it makes my soul sigh with happiness

Daydream is another reason why friends to lovers is my favourite thing ever! The getting to know each other build up is so delicious. And omg I’ve never read a book where physical touch/affection is done so well! If that’s your love language, this is the book for you! Halle and Henry make sense - the way they gravitate towards each other and feel “domestic” right from the start - chef’s kiss!

Pleasantly surprised at how much I’m enjoying this book! :)

I love the little details in it, like Enchanted and the romance book club! Hannah writes very good characters - I love their description, in terms of appearance and what they wear, makes them feel more dimensional!

Honestly really loving this book - I think Justin is great but I’m getting annoyed because he keeps putting Emma in awkward situations where she’s having to accept things that she had set as off-limits/boundaries!

I have really missed RLS’ writing. I can’t believe how three dimensional everyone feels, Rowan being described as a autumn fever dream of a girl is just chef’s kiss. I love the way she describes things. Everything is well thought out and has a purpose.

Right now, it’s feeling like a 3 star. I’m not rooting for them as a couple yet. It feels veryyyy lusty. I need real feelings

If it was acceptable, I’d kiss MZ. There, I said it! My first MZ book, wow. I can’t believe how much I am PHYSICALLY experiencing.

There’s a scene in chapter 15 which has genuinely altered my brain chemistry where they’re at Hazel’s recital and they share this intimate moment. It’s so wholesome, perfect and just *happy sigh*

Soo boring. 50% nothing is happening. Enemies to lovers doesn’t work in contemporary romance

Chapter 13 was actually delicious!!!! I haven’t read many books where FMC gives a HJ ;) the kissing, the touching, lovelyyyy stuff

CHAPTER TWELVE WAS SO GOOD - I READ IT OUT LOUD TO MY HUSBAND, AND I COULD LITERALLY FEEL THE YEARNING, WANT, LUST, NEED, DEVOTION, OFFERING, DESIRE COMING OFF THE PAAAAGES. HOW DELICIOUS TO BE IN A SWIMMING POOL LISTENING TO LA VIE EN ROSE AND HAVING YOUR N*PPLE SUCKED. THE SLOW BURN OF THEIR BODIES TOUCHING UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

NO STOP IT, I've got La Vie En Rose playing out loud on YouTube bc the MCs are listening to it and I just can't. I'm biting my lip, squealing, covering my face and reading the scene out loud to my husband - I LOVE IT HERE!!! STOP IT, THEIR FLIRTING IS SO DELICIOUSSSSSS
