A laser grid symbolism of scareness because it tells them that there is a ghost near by

Ghost motion sensor it detects the ghost in the spot that they are in. If they move or make a noise the sensor detects that and turns on a light or a laser telling them that the ghost just moved by it or made a noise.

Mark and Jen are in the house and are thinking if they should go to a different spot in the house. But they decided that they wanted to stay at the same exact spot they were in but Mark wanted to move but Jen didn't want to move. Mark then left on his to go to the spot he wanted to go to in the house. Mark got his spot he wanted to go to and when Jen was still there Mark heard something right when he got there.
