Interestingly, we’re at the same point in both books, but the other is further along in terms of percentage.

I love alternating between this book and the other.

It’s fun to read this in parallel with part 1: it explains what goes on in the women’s heads.

Two more encounters, first with Katrina, second with Mara (Marina?)

Ten percent in, and it’s better than the first book already, because there have been not one, but two encounters, one per sister. I just wish they would tell their stories in the first person.

Ten percent in, and nothing happened: exposition, exposition, and more exposition. And it’s all written in the third person, how boring.

Still there’s a glimpse of Mara (or Marina? I wish the author would clarify this) that is worth its while.
