I really didn’t like book 3 and had to take a break. I guess here we go again, hopefully this one is better or I’ll probably just bail on the series🤞🏻

I think this is about to be so dumb but here we are😂 I’m so beyond over vampire shit but I’m a total sucker for anything Greek or Roman inspired so… we’ll see if all the absolutely rave reviews are legit.

Unpopular opinion but this book is way too damn long. I can’t believe it’s still going 😩

Struggling really hard to get into any ebooks right now, so on to another paper book in my backlog.

Having a reeeeeally hard time listening to any audiobooks right now, I’ve started 5 and just can’t get into it so putting this on pause for now.

Will work for the ‘Disability’ category in summer book bingo and the StoryGraph 2025 genre challenge.

I really dislike the main character but everyone keeps rating this really high so I’m going to give it some more time before deciding whether to DNF it or not. I’m fining the whole thing very unrelatable so far which doesn’t make it compelling.

I think I’m going to DNF this at nearly a third in. I don’t know if it’s because the audiobook just makes it harder to follow (I don’t really think that’s the issue) but at this point there are so many characters with not enough identifying characteristics and so many details in general to remember that I can’t keep track of what’s going on. I don’t know if I’ve ever known what’s going on actually

Reading this as a buddy read with a hockey friend. It’s very silly 😅

I’m going to DNF this one for now. It’s just not very interesting? For a book with such a compelling title you would think it would be just as interesting or exciting but it’s just not. Really not what I expected it to be either in the way of story so just not feeling it.

I have absolutely no idea what’s going on right now, I can’t remember hardly any of the people or why we are where we are in the story. Also, I know the last one was dark and thats why I didn’t like it much, but this one is just SO much darker than I’m in the mood for. I’ve been reading this book for over a week and have read only 40+ pages. Dropping for now, or maybe forever, we’ll see.

Maybe I just don’t like literary fiction anymore… I’m halfway through and haven’t started liking this book yet and I’m torn between just cranking it out and getting it done now or just stopping and letting it go…

Not sure I really like this book so far, it’s a little boring. Everyone seems to love it though so I’ll give it a little more time…
