Shadi is 35% done with Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men
Packed with fascinating insights. It highlights how so many things are designed around a ā€œstandardā€ White male. Now I find myself noticing how buildings are constructed, how materials like bricks can be adapted, and why customization for each individual really matters. It’s made me curious—are even everyday objects, like my pen, put together with that same kind of assumption?

It's a hard read about the history of Rwanda. I felt like crying at some point on the injustices.

I loved it so far. It makes me think about how I consume information and how it's mostly based on the environment I'm in.

Shadi is 50% done with The Gen Z Effect: The Six Forces Shaping the Future of Business
I picked up this book searching for answers in my career lol, to see how Gen Z people, or rather the future of employment will think and act. I'm fascinated by the research about their point of view on Failure and Retirement to embrace imperfection and the right balance of work and life. As the book looks into the internet's role in Gen Z, it seems it's now engrained into their lives and in their decisions.

This book was a surprise! It's thrilling to feel like the author is bringing you on her journey as a newscaster/writer and I'm still not bored with her storytelling it's really engaging from her exploration of the meaning of being Filipino to her sexual pursuits on the side and lack of sleep to achieve all this. I'm fascinated by how she pushes forward towards her dream which isn't concrete till this page.

I just wish every political leader reads this book and it might solve 80% of every human being problem. To protect the environment starts with yourself but government intervention is a must for the future generations to experience the beauty of the World.

Carbon footprint, carbon emissions, gas emissions per car, corporate social responsibility with it's people, the management of it's product, the list goes on

Read 2 case studies and felt like an Industrial Engineering student once again. Now that I have experience in the field, I can say that changes are hard to implement especially if it's people-based which are the majority of the IE problem. lol

It's great to know that sleep deprivation is a societal problem with company's neglecting sleep of employees but are ironically concerned with health and mentality.

I love how the author vision in his conclusion of a World where the lights in every street and every house will adjust on the time of the day, every temperature in the room adjusted to our body in order for sleep to happen.

I pick up this book from the library not knowing anything about, just that the cover art is great. After reading 70ish pages, I must say it's intriguing but borderline boring with all the philosophical jargons. Only thing driving me to finish the book is the challenge to find the missing lady and her relations to Cult X.

Shadi is 60% done with The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment
I appreciate how Eckhart way of explaining things makes sense at being present in the Now, being present in your current situation and making the most out of it and stepping your best self forward or rather your own internal definition of self.
Knowing yourself in the inside is what struck me with this book where people in general including me tend to neglect and find yourself lost in all it. Learning process indeed

Shadi is 70% done with Less (Arthur Less, #1)
A story of heartbreak turned self discovery adventure, it seems to be the better version of Eat, Pray, Love and the character isn't forced into a situation where he loses his identity but rather find himself being open to being vulnerable around new experiences. Hopefully this story doesn't turn sour at the end.
