I’m enjoying the series, but I am getting really tired of the male characters holding it against the 19 year-old protagonist that she wasn’t raising an army and saving the world for the last 10 years when they all assumed she was dead and she was just trying to survive. Come up with a better excuse to be mad at her. Ffs.

I have 3 hours left and I’ve never wanted to just pause a story at the happy ever after part 😭

Random library grab because it seemed like it was short enough to finish before the new year. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pleased I started this so far!

Only 33 hours and 47 minutes left 😅

Initially I was feeling skeptical, the magical species bigotry and homophobia plus magical religious suppression of women and girls feels heavy handed. But it came recommended so I stuck with it. The protagonist is pretty naive so her moving through the world not realizing that her baseline understanding of other magical creatures is flawed takes about 350 pages. But now I’m invested.

One of the best books I’ve read in a while

Ugh this fucking story. I have an hour left and I don’t know if I can finish this. I don’t expect every book to be happy hero wins all but these characters are just being fucked over by this story line, I was legit surprised to hear there was a third book because I thought everyone just fucking dies and then the story is over. Don’t get me started on the narration.

Best book of the year.

So far everyone is annoying. Except Rhysand he’s only mildly annoying. I start to like Tamlin again at some point right?
