So far so good.
Unfortunately I’m stuck on the fact that the word “palatable” was used multiple times in place of what I assume the author meant as “palpable” 😑
I’m ESL so sometimes seeing words used wrongly is a strong problem for me.

Saigon is 41% done with Goal (St. Louis Sires, #1)
So far, it’s kind of slow paced. Not so sure about the writing. Seems like a lot of fluff and fillers used, but it’s too early to make a gross judgement of the book yet I guess.

It’s taken me more than three months to get through this one. I’m not loving it, but I’ll finish it.

So far, I’m really trying hard to love this book because I have mad love for this author and I know she’s a great writer.

So far this book is an exercise in premium toxicity that I don't understand.
The heroine is a weird fiercely dependent "independent" woman that I cannot (nor do I hope to ever) relate with.
The hero is petty and childish and both main characters are prone to drama like I've never seen before.
A lot of the issues I've seen in this book so far could have been resolved with communication.

I'm barely anywhere into this book, but I know I'm definitely coming back to review it if I ever get finished. One thing that stands out like a sore thumb is the author's sweeping generalisations of Scotsmen and her repeated use of the word "wee". Do Scotsmen say wee? Yes. Do they not know how to say little? Absolutely not.

But I'll keep reading. I'm hoping it doesn't end up in my DNF pile.
