Amanda is on page 109 of 288 of Hateland: A Long, Hard Look at America's Extremist Heart
Published in 2019, the analysis of Internet radicalism already reads as dated and—for lack of a better term—Boomer-y.

Hateland: A Long, Hard Look at America's Extremist Heart

Amanda is on page 98 of 346 of The Innkeeper's Song
The constantly switching POVs is hard to follow at times. This is a weird story, and a lot more dark, violent, and adult-themed than The Last Unicorn. After reading some other reviews and learning that there is apparently an orgy scene coming up, I'm not sure I want to continue, even though I am now invested in the story and the book is well-written. At least they say it is non-explicit?

Amanda is on page 42 of 430 of The European Witch-Hunt
Author vows to be unbiased and get into the heads of medieval people in the intro, yet so far I've heard nothing but finger pointing and some pretty bizarre commentary.

This is turning out rather convenient. By that I mean it’s full of coincidences. The problems which began in the previous two books are compounded here...

Amanda is on page 84 of 160 of Washed and Waiting: Reflections on Christian Faithfulness and Homosexuality
Starting up on this again after many months away. Remember being slightly turned off by how depressing the first few chapters were, but I'm in the actual analysis section now and it's sustaining my interest. Will explain my reasons for reading this in my review to come.

First chapter done. Just ten pages in, and I couldn't help thinking that, between the awkward sounding title and what I've read so far, this almost feels like it was written by a different author. The two star reviews that I just saw aren't very encouraging either. We'll see how it goes.

I own both a physical and a digital copy. I've had them for years, yet I've never finished it. The last thing I remember is the Jedi eating on Lando's ship, waiting for a faux betrayal to the Vong. This is supposed to be one of the greatest EU books ever. But will I ever finish the damned thing? Stay tuned...
