I’ve been about 50% through since last summer. This just didn’t manage to capture my attention the same ways as her other books.

Got to around 70ish percent, it was getting exciting, and BAM! Libby forcefully returned it as my loan expired. 🥲

First cry and horrible scare. This book has had my emotions in turmoil from the get go!

I tried to read the ebook through Libby, but couldn’t get my head into it. Audiobook this time, and I’m enjoying it!

Pet peeve: when some long lost relative/family friend shows up, MC might not even have known about the existence of this person, and they immediately become way too dependent on them. Missing them. Taking all their advice at face value. No questions asked. And in this case, calling mother’s friend aunt just because FMC was told she did so as a child. I HATE IT. Have som reservations, people! /rant

Seeing as I’m a glutton for punishment, I started book 2. Already annoyed.

Love the book; hate the narrator for Parisa! I actually fell asleep during her part last night, and it’s no better in the middle of the day. Can she at least TRY to be a bit more enthused about her narration job?!

I’ve been seeing this around and was curious, and it had a very promising start. Now however… No spoilers, but not sure I want to waste time finishing it.🫣

I was lucky enough to receive an ARV for the audiobook through NetGalley! I went in blind, having read nothing about it before. So far I’m very intrigued, and I’ve also been surprised a time (or five)!

I. Am. Struggling. To. Finish. This. Seriously, what's the hype?? And HOW is this constantly reccommended to fans of Sarah J. Maas, Rebecca Yarros, and the like? The writing is... I don't even know. Sheeeeeeesh. Still, I do not want to DNF it. I really want to be able to finish it so I can tell people what I didn't like eloquently.

Had to take a break to let one of my students borrow my audiobook service. Can't wait to get it back, this is good!

I. Am. An. Idiot. Sandwhich. I always keep books in the correct reading order on my bookshelf, but for some reason this and Fate’s Edge had switched places. As I hadn’t read either of these yet I didn’t check, and here’s my mistake. I am currently reading book 4 prior to book 3, and my OCD is throwing a fit!! Putting this on hold and grabbing Fate’s Edge as I speak!!!

My earplugs broke shortly after starting this, so it’s on hiatus…

Ask Bastian, my 4-year old, saw this on his bookshelf and wanted to read it. Mama never says no when the kid wants to be read for! 🤩

I’m not sure what’s happened here seeing as I’ve had this sitting in my bookshelf for TWO re-reads of the entire series without having read it! I’m stunned!
