Interesting lyrical memoir written by a woman born into a Rastafarian family.

Not too into it so far.

The story is character driven and somber. It is starting to get more complicated. It’s a slow mover but the writing is terrific. I’m enjoying it.

Devouring this compilation of short stories!

Hoping this one gets better…it’s off to a slow start for me. I decided to close up and start something different as I just haven’t liked this one yet. I’ll try again after I finish the excellent short stories I am now reading.

Thought provoking read.

Wow! This book is something different — a little bit of all genres included, unlikely heroes, unexpected twists, surprising revelations, slow resolution — at 75% I’m most anxious to get to the end!

Soap opera-ish, mildly enjoying, quite slow

Not impressed but I will finish it. Wouldn’t recommend.

Good so far, the author uses lots of big words. I like that.

Listening to this one narrated by Meryl Streep. I like Meryl’s narration but the story so far is so boring I keep changing to the local traffic station which is more interesting than the book. I’m hoping for more action as the story progresses…

It took me a while to get into it but I’m enjoying it more the further I read.

Sadly, I’m heavily identifying with the loss of focus described in the book. But I’m enjoying learning the author’s journey.
