A quarter of the way through this, and I don't yet have any idea what's going on, but I'm enjoying every minute of it! I'm just sort of basking in the mood, aesthetic, and world-building and trusting that the plot will come together at some point and the time jumps and vaguely explained (but clearly purposeful) inconsistencies with book one will make sense soon.
