What a creative concept for a story 😭 I’m loving this

Im always curious about books with teacher representations so I’ll relay my observations as I go.
1. No one has time for an existential crisis on the first day of school.

I had to put this down. Maybe I’ll come back to it, but Violet’s lack of real character growth and overall immaturity, coupled with the absolutely unhinged (lack of) world building here is something not even a spicy scene could fix for me.

Is this my favorite Ali Hazelwood book? Uh. Yeah, Maybe. Bringing her quirky romance into fantasy is *chefs kiss*. Quirky Urban Romantasy—who could possibly do it better?

Do these characters get less insufferable?! 😩

This book is taking me a while, but mostly because I am in no rush for the book to end. Freaking incredible. Masterful. Uncomfortable.
