Im getting used to Kayla Edwards writing... finally made it to the house...not kidnapped but definitely forced into a hand of working with the enemy lol

The run on paragraph sentences are killing meeeeeee🫣

Initial thoughts...this book is very wordy...like sheesh do we need a whole page to describe walking down the street 😭

Somehow Rina made me both the mains parents in one chapter.... while simultaneously doing a nose dive with Jeremy himself 😩😂😂

Dnf at 250 this book was ok the writing good but could NOT hold my interest. Making out with a ghost that you KNOW is a ghost all while knowing the object of the game is NOT to fall in love. Pffff Stoopid lol

Rhys is everything I wanted from Cole Harding 🥹😆I didn't know that was possible. I'm so glad I picked this up after a photo finish. Where Cole was sweet and naturally concerned due to his own trauma...Rhys is almost ex military with an important job of keeping the princess safe at all times 🥰

Idk if it's the hype or I'm really loving Cole.
Violet is a little too trusting but she does express what she wants. Cole has trauma and is working through it. The slow burn is REAL 😵‍💫🥹

I like Cole just as much as I thought I would.
In book 1 Billie stole the show. Here in book 2 I'm definitely more interested in Cole. I resonate with his personality and thought process just about more than I have any other character I've ever read about 🤗

I totally get why reading these in order is so fun. Glad I decided to read this one first.
Even the storyline of the horse pulled on my heartstrings 🥹 Vaughn is nice but somehow I'm still more interested in Cole, especially now that I've gotten a glimpse into seeing his first interaction with Violet. All the feels💓

I'm glad I'm reading this series in chronological order. This interconnectedness has been delightful. It's the perfect amount of slow burn and angst. The foot stomping Vaughn isn't kid like or immature it's meant to express frustration and Billie always has the perfect comebacks. I've laughed out loud more than a few times 😂

So far I haven't stopped smiling. I love Elsie Silver's writing style. I need to put this book down and go to bed but I'm completely enamored.😊
Vaughn is not who I thought he'd be but Cole is exactly who I thought he'd be. I made an awesome choice picking this book up first. I think I would find Billie completely obnoxious just like Cole does😆😆

Charlie finally stands up for herself against Emerson AND her Dad...slow claps lol
FINALLY a redeeming quality to the total depravity this book has been
