So far, all descriptions of female characters are just like the "she breasted boobily down the stairs" trope (even the corpse!). He's been using the word "feminine" a lot -- a feminine smile, a feminine outfit, a feminine figure. He's mentioned his own "old-fashioned" views. His female friend/co-worker rolls her eyes at his gallantry but secretly she enjoys it of course.

Having finished the first story, "The Blond Woman": I love this, so much. My heart was beating so fast when Lupin and Sholmes met for the first time in that restaurant. I love how Lupin nor Sholmes are confident 100% of the time, and they get emotional when they get one-upped. I fell in love with Lupin on page 6, where you can just imagine the vengeance he's cooking up on the teacher for buying that writing desk.

It's trash but it makes me giggle.

I'm giving up because I don't like the protagonists.

So far, I really love it. It's such a breath of fresh air after my previous read.

Finally finished. Fuck this book.

I bought this for 50p a long time ago because it looks like horrible pulp. Apparently the third book in the series. Can't believe I'm reading it now. Can't believe I'm actually kind of enjoying myself.

I'm going through this veeery slowly, reading only about 5-10 pages every night before I fall asleep. I'm into it, though!

The first pages were a chore to get through: there're way too many adjectives in the descriptive passages..! But the conversations feel very natural.
