I’m a big fan of Susan Fanetti & the Brazen Bulls series. Redemption is an okay book so far. I feel like it’s a bit repetitive. A bit slow at some points. Not a whole lot happening. A lot of political talk about racism.

The story is good so far. My only issue is with the FMC. I love a badass FMC, but Avalon doesn’t ever turn hers off. She’s a nobody narcissist who thinks people are afraid of her. I like when main characters show some type of vulnerability.

I’m enjoying the story. The writing style is a little difficult to read. It’s has a Ben Stein monotonous quality to it.
Some of the “facts” in this story are wrong. She calls an AR-15 a prolific weapon for Mexican cartels as well as calls it an automatic. Both false.
I feel like if your are going the authoritarian, per cartels ruling, route with your story, the facts are important.

So far, I’m not sure if I’m feeling this book. It has potential. It’s not the story. It’s the way the book is written. The scene in the classroom with the FMC & 3 football players lasted for multiple chapters. It was so dragged out I got bored. Now, the FMC is having paragraphs of internal questions about the MC. 🙄 Seems like a bunch of filler to me. I’ll keep reading though.

I’m hooked so far! I know I’m just beginning the story, but I’ve been in a bit of a book slump lately.
Punky Kelly is a broody, dead-inside anti-hero(?). Story is set in Northern Ireland (Belfast). Feuds with the leading families in Dublin. Catholic vs Protestant. Doyles vs Kellys.
The book is refreshing bc I’m enjoying the Irish dialect!

Lover of dark & taboo, stepbrother, enemies to lovers, motorcycle club, and mafia romance. Reverse harem is my jam. Contemporary only. No prn or fantasy. Also, I’m getting seriously tired of Harry Potter references in the books I read. Be more original. Please & thank you!

Once again, Penelope Douglas has sucked me in at only 17%. The back and forth between Jared & Tate is 🔥🔥!

I’m getting bored. Once again, this book is mostly dialogue and nothing is happening so far. Hoping for some action soon 🤞

I’m having a hard time with this one. The FMC, Adeline, just does not feel genuine to me. In personality, her love for the Merchants, or her real goal in the story.
For the MC, Cash, he’s supposed to be this stoic genius who sees everything, but he just seems confused and over-the-top cold. Like he’s trying too hard to feel nothing for Adeline.
There is SO. MUCH. DIALOGUE!!!

I have moments of intense love with this story and then bored in others. Is it just me?

Grrrr! Bea Paige, you made York call Pen by the wrong nickname!!! He called her Tiny instead of Titch! With how important the nicknames are, this was a huge mistake!

This is a clean romance, apparently. Not a single bit of sex. The relationship dynamics are really strange and the story line is going down hill. The FMC is just acting like a brat and the whole Brotherhood thing is confusing. It’s like the author wanted to make the fraternity a huge part of the story, but fell flat on the mission. I’m very close to DNFing.
