Very, very good.

I love this: "She presses the soles of her feet into the slippery moss of the rock below. The sensation is a queasy one, immediately giving rise to the thoughts of thousands of forms of sea life just beneath the deceptively calm surface of the water."

helena stopped moving. "I worry about you." ... "I don't want you to." I wished I were a little girl again, unbothered by worries and ambitions, unaware. I wish I could pick her up and distract her with a lollipop and a kiss.... "Did you ever have any dreams?"... "Of course I did. But they changed."

"Thanks," she says. "You can always count on a guy who lives in a treehouse to make you feel better."

I love this book. "Cath covered her face with her hand, as if he could see her. They didn't usually flirt quite like this. Quite so frankly."

I love this bit: "I know." Reagan shook her head. "But you're so helpless sometimes. It's like watching a kitten with its head trapped in a Kleenex box." Genius!

Loving this book so much, about Eleanor listening to the Smiths & other music is so great: "There was something about the music on that tape. It felt different. Like, it set her lungs and her stomach on edge. There was something exciting about it, and something nervous. It made Eleanor feel like everything, like the world, wasn't what she thought it was. And that was a good thing. That was the greatest thing."
