Hoorah! After months on hiatus, I've finally managed to clear out some time for this one. Because given what I've read so far, this a book that deserves to be enjoyed...

Brilliant so far. I was hooked from the beginning, thrown headfirst into a vividly realized, original fantasy world. I'm looking at the opinions of my GoodReads friends and am getting jealous that they discovered it before me... I want this book to be ALL MINE, MWAHAHAHAHA.

Hopefully, this will be a fun diversion. I'm in the need for something to recharge my batteries.

I am just drained. I'll need to take a few day's break.

It's amazing so far, but I'm annoyed at the latest development because it 1) feels emotionally manipulaitve, 2) was entirely predictable and 3) gave me a heavy feeling of deja vu. Plot points such as this are overdone.

For some reason I am shocked at how UNRELIABLE and INVENTIVE Verity is. She lied! She lied brillianty! And the peices are coming into place! I love watching stuff like this unfold.

This is surprisingly good.

This is my second try reading this, and now that I know what kind of book it really is, it is MUCH easier to get into. So far, it's an interesting beast, both horrifying (what Verity is going through) and lovely (the story she tells). I'm sort of in love with it already.

This is going to be amusing...
