I have never been so infuriated by a book. I need to take a WALK I so passionately loathe one character (we're meant to loathe him). In addition to that, this is not even a minorly flawed book - it's not perfectly written at all. And yet it has taken my heart and totally crushed it. I can't believe it.

I'm up to Chapter 11, and I'm asking myself why I ever picked this up. When I was a young girl, I read some of her poetry and didn't like it. I'm unsure why I thought I would like any of her writing now.
Her writing voice is unpalatable, and although there may be a perceived beauty to some readers, I personally cannot find it. The characters are difficult to keep track of, and I do not find any character engaging.
