I seem to be on an Egyptian kick presently. Just finished Agatha Christie's early mystery set in Egypt 2000 BC, now reading The Egyptian Years by Elizabeth Harris about a modern British woman mysteriously drawn into her relative's life in turn of century (20th) Egypt. Always have loved things Egyptian. . . along with things Mayan.

The six month period of pre-launch marketing has started for the print copy release of my book, The Mayan Red Queen (release date 3/1/18). One early activity is increasing connections with readers; in the case of Goodreads, getting more followers and friends. It's not clear to me how one goes about this. If anyone has experience or information, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Many thanks! Lennie

Leonide Martin is 30% done with The Shoemaker's Wife
Reading ebook so have to go by percent. Its captivating mainly through interesting characters. Action is slow, adds to sense of time period. Lots of description that allows you to feel into the locations and cultures. I'm enjoying it.

Real page-turner! Suspense, intrigue, good characterizations and substantial science join for a most enjoyable adventure. Hard to stop reading it.

Leonide Martin is finished with At Road's End (Pre-Aztec #0.5)
Definitely a young man's book for the action-adventure minded. Fight scenes dominate with snappy action as Tononic warrior faces off with mysterious invaders of ancient Anasazi cliff dwellers. Limited character development, modicum of romance, minimal historical information about these "pre-aztec" and Pueblo peoples. Good beach or vacation read.
