this book is WILD

i hope tal doesn't turn out to be evil

i was not even 50 pages in and already there are holes in the already flimsy magic system.

so suddenly a vampire's bite doesn't kill and they can use magic in the vampire lands, even tho they made a point of not being able to do that before. sure sure okay. let's throw out all the rules and start over lol

the writing is a little clunky and the dialogue is wacky soemtimes; but it is fun, so there's that

this book is hardcore. i am here for it.

i love how the prince is an idiot lol but hes kind of adorable with his little crush on zilan

Luna is kinda stupid despite the fact that she's supposed to be this great academic

not excited about the dual pov but so far so good besides that

this protrag is infuriating. she has like no sense of self preservation lol

i'm not super impressed so far, but i got it in a sub box so i'll try it anyway :)

i am not disappointed by the drama between the gods.

also pretty cool that there will be 2 books after this because the gods have fucked shit up majorly lol

well im in it for the drama between the gods but misch and asar are kinda boring lol

book finally starting getting interesting around like page 520 lol. still a lot of skimming and unnecessary shenanigans but at least its a bit better

why does she suddenly thing Tawny is soulless????? did i miss something???

i don't understand why they don't go ask Sera for answers. poppy ans cas and everyone are so annoyed they'd int have answers but they KNOW Sera and the others are awake. why are they searching thru old dusty records under a temple when they could literally go ask a direct source

i realize the first book was them falling for each other but i just dont believe Asar & Mische's relationship yall. they're like "id die for you" after 1 date (and it wasnt even a good first date)

I am skipping all the flash back scenes so 🤷‍♀️
