I'm excited to read this book, especially as I'm starting it in Michigan. I remember a few years ago visiting the Detroit museum and seeing an exhibit on the Runaway towns in Southern Ontario, and Detroit as the terminus of the Underground Railroad.

This book inspired me to watch the Gwyneth Paltrow film "Sliding Doors". Quite an interesting concept! Even though the plotline was a bit predictable and uncomfortable

Also really enjoy how many "magic" themed books are set in/near Cambridge, Boston, and Salem, making it easy to imagine them

Since I watched "Practical Magic" a couple months ago, I have Sandra Bullock's voice in my head whenever her character of Sally speaks in this book, and it's actually amazingly perfect.

The irony that I am listening to a book about climate change while driving a ridiculous commute each way doesn't escape me.
