Are these books objectively good? Absolutely not. But are they good? Yep. I’ve been needing so many mindless, silly, fun, not have to use my brain reads recently and this checks all the boxes.

Holy hell. I’m guilty of judging books marked as “young adult.” There is nothing YA about this. I’m a grown ass adult and the themes and thought provocation happening are tickling my brain. This will have to fall super hard to not get 5 stars from me

I don’t understand what is happening in this book.

Okay, okay. I know this book is called Rabid, but does the author need to use the word rabid as an adjective on every other page? Sheesh

Well, shit… I thought this was a finished series.

Wow. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book with such intricate world building. I have to slow down and read every word. I usually read fast by looking at whole chunks at one time, usually seeing maybe 80-90% of the actual words, and then my brain just puts them together. But this is so intricately detailed I have to read the old fashioned way. But I think it’s going to be intense.

It’s been well over a decade since I’ve read this book so I vaguely remember the gist of it but it makes for a pretty good audiobook!

Meh. Mafia romances are so hit or miss with me. Not sure if I’m gonna keep this one going..

Cringey dialogue that reads like a young ya novel is hard to reconcile next to why choose sex scenes. I love retellings so much and want to like this… but… dnf

First ever tandem read!

I REALLY, really want to like this. It is very hyped by people who usually have the same book tastes as I do. I’m having a hard time with Rin. Does she have a growth arc? Does she become more than a petulant know it all? I’m invested enough in the plot to finish, but I’m having trouble connecting with the characters. Maybe I like more character driven books?? Please get better.
