Loving this book!!!

Meh…. Hope it gets better.

An editor should catch this… she’s said “weary” twice, when she really means “wary”.

Siobhan is a 28 year old life coach?? 🙄 This book has just gone down at least 1 star for me. That is just completely unbelievable. I assume she was at least 36 or 37… you can’t give your main character a career as a life coach when she hasn’t lived any life.

I can’t figure out why Liv doesn’t just write down what she knows- or learns- while she’s awake, then go to sleep so she can have record of what she should do. Much like that book from years ago, “Before I Wake”.

What a beautiful line- “It isn’t a sadness, but a joy, that we don’t do the same things for the length of our lives.”

I think the relationship between Katy and her mother is supposed to be beautiful. But all I can think is how unhealthy and codependent it sounds. I’m glad they loved one another so much, but it sounds like they needed a therapist.

It feels like this chapter is placing a lot of value on the American ideals of achievement and being an extrovert. It’s talking about having high energy, which is not necessarily something that everyone can or should have. I would be and be around someone authentic and positive who has low energy than be around someone trying to exude high energy because they think that’s how they “should” be.

This is a book to be read slowly and savored. So much good stuff in here.

Why aren’t these idiotic kids stopping to get a hotel? Why do they keep driving through a worsening storm?
