Fantastic read, inspiring to aspiring pianists. Putting aside for a while out of necessity to prepare for Jason Russel House tour guiding.

Inspiring and enlightening, each chapter short enough for an easy bedtime read. More importantly, uplifting content that suggests constructive alternative ways to look at the world based on Native American perspectives.

Being led around by the author in a subterranean land of imagination, books, danger. Mystified but enjoying the adventure. Glad they have lots of cats. Where’s the music?

Look forward to the 30 minutes x2 per day I have to read this wonderful book.

Thorough and well researched. Scholarly but also providing insight into the soul of a extraordinary and “uncommon man” (to borrow from the clever subtitle). Only about half done, I’m needing to read in stages to allow for other timely travel reading.

Intriguing history of area of science in which I work. So much of what they were discovering in 1940s-60s has become integrated into standard practice today. Fascinating and driven individuals; that is still true today.

Incredibly comprehensive. Making me appreciate how generously AC supported other American and New World composers, including Chavez. Also, the diversity of his compositions, beyond Fanfare for Common Man, Lincoln Portrait, and Appalachian Spring. Much to explore.

An ok thriller with a sci-di component. You care about the two main characters.
