Nowhere near as good as Christian Cameron but worth a read for a different perspective on these events.

Picked this back up again now that I have access to the audiobook. And I am finding it much more compelling than the other things I've read recently.

The constant change of point of view is driving me absolutely crazy. I care very much about some of the story lines and I could not care less about most of them. I feel like if this was the story of sanguinius and a couple of the others I would be interested, but overall I just don't care.

I put this down and I haven't even been tempted to pick it back up. I think it's unlikely that I will.

I'm really quite bored. The Canterbury tales style is really turning me off. I really don't care about these characters. Almost at all. I might put this on my permanent. Do not finish list.

It's okay. Cameron writes better in first person and his early stuff is even more wooden.

So far, this is living up to its reputation as one of the worst written 40K books ever.
