Ah. The slump returneth. :(

I am SO ANNOYED. I just want my audiobook covers for books in the same series to match! Is that too much to ask!

This was written in the mid-seventies and seeing the prototype of the Broody YA Love Interest(tm) is fascinating.

Casually dipped into this book and then had to realign my entire attitude because I can tell this is prime Will Fuck You Up(tm) material. Oh boy.

Am I reading picture books in a vain attempt at keeping "10 books behind schedule" vaguely in sight up ahead? ...Yeah? Maybe?

Me, putting the book down every couple of chapters to crouch over my phone like a gremlin while I obsessively watch #griddlehark cosplay tiktoks: Please excuse me while I give myself AN OUNCE of SEROTONIN.

Goodreads, no, I do not want to read "South Pole Santa" or "Cats Cannolis and a Curious Kidnapping" because I'm currently reading a book on modern witchcraft. Why? Why are you so determined I read these weird books with terrible covers? i don't understand.

TFW you've been in a slump for like a month and you get approved for an ARC you're actually really excited about and all you want to do with every fiber of your being is curl up and read but it's the middle of the workday...

Not to jinx myself but… could it possibly be my slump is lifting?
