Did someone say spooky season?????

Not my usual Autumn read but in honor of my "sequel challenge" want to complete the Lonesome Dove series before the end of the year.... oh Gus and Woodrow where will we go! I cant wait to find out!!! I'm sure there will be whores and biscuits!

I don't usually do two books at once. So pausing The Hypnotist in order to buddy read this with my best friend, Missy.

The sequel to The Reincarnationist Series by M.J. Rose.

If you can't beat 'em....

I rarely DNF a book but I seriously need to finish this one before I need a therapist. If you're on an antidepressant I assure you its not strong enough for this book.

So.... i know this is supposed to be my "year of the sequel" and yall i've been trying because I'm nothing if not committed to a goal but ive got to say..... I've been enjoying my non sequel books so much more.... i think I've decided at my age and with my shelves..... maybe i need to allow myself to read less for goals and more for pleasure......

I am loving everything about this odd lady who reminds me of myself lol! Im worried because so many in my immediate friend group state they dnf'd or dne (didn't enjoy ha). Am I a weirdo or does it get horrible? Many said it was hard to follow on audio... im reading while waiting for the audio to become available from Libby...I love the different types of formats (letters emails etc...) oh well time will tell

Summerween 2026!!!!

Need a lil summer break with elin!

The sequel to The Diviners.... 20 pages in and asking myself why did I wait so long!

Set in the sixties this is the story of the younger years of aunties Frannie & Jet of the Practical Magic series and their brother Vincent (the father of Sally and Gillian - Nicole Kidmon and Sandra bullock). This will complete the series for me.

Omg DAPHNE!!!!! You DRANK the lemonade! COME ON GIRL! WTH

Loving this!!!!! It's been SO LONG since I've just read for pure unadulterated guilty (not guilty) pleasure!

Book three of the Christ Clone trilogy. About to put this series to bed!

PAGE ONE

"Gus McCray was by nature distractable; the site of a naked two hundred pound whore carrying a full grown snapping turtle, had captured his complete attention."

GOD HOW I'VE MISSED YOU GUS!!!!

#sequelchallenge!

So excited to pick this back up again! I had started it a while back when a friend loaned me her copy. But my fingers ACHED to highlight and underline so I waited until I got my own copy. My first book about the Cathars! Highlighters ready! Reading only because its not on audio. I love the illustrations, the glossary, the list of characters.....

I’m loving reading about how the New Testament was formed — not as something that magically appeared, but as a collection of writings shaped, preserved, and recognized and most importantly translated and interpreted through history. The connection between faith and history fascinates me. They should not exclude but support each other.

Excited to get back to this one. Exploring Historical Jesus and the origins of the Bible

My "Year of the Sequel" continues. The followup to In His Image of The Christ Clone Trilogy. So far we have asteroids and locusts and nuclear war.... lol

Goal this year to try to read a sequel to each book I read last year that has one. This seemed like a great one to start with! (With which to start sounds weird! Lol)

This was going to be my 1st read of 2026 but I had to STOP. it was loaned to me by a dear friend and by page 11 my fingers were SCREAMING to go nuts with my highlighter...

"The 800 year old Bible spoke to me when I touched it. I felt the presence of others before me. The manuscript knew no owners, only caretakers".

My friend read this books on the streets of Paris. I have to have my own copy to love AND HIGHLIGHT

Ok 2026.... let's start this year off with a great thriller! Set in the forest on a spooky movie set in Cork, Ireland!

Well Sophie and I will either close out 2025 or open 2026. Either way I'll be in good company with my dear friend Sophie Kinsella.

Fingers crossed... i need a good christmas read!

Starting a lil holiday friends read!
