I’m literally convinced that most people don’t know what gothic is and think it’s just a dark aesthetic.

Nor do they really know what historical is for that matter because I keep seeing people add fantasy (as in made up countries and magic) novels to historical lists.

Tryna figure out who I hate more. Rhysand from ACOTAR or Joshu Higashikata from Jojolion.

I think Rhysand because the story tries so hard for me to like him and his “yOuR cHoIcE” bullshit. Araki is very aware of what a creepy piece of shit Joshu is.

Started reading this because of Lindsay Ellis’s clown ass.

Okay so here’s going to be a take that some people may hate but it takes a dogfight for this woman to do *anything* so far in this book? Not... anything else? I feel like I’m supposed to care but I’m just wondering what’s the point of showing this other than to pull at the heart strings of an animal lover (which I love my dog too but come on this is just kinda stupid).

I love that she tells a game of thrones joke and it falls flat. Hopefully it wasn’t supposed to make me laugh bc I hate everything about game of thrones and everyone who likes it.

Usually the book with the most reads in any given category is destined to win the Goodreads Choice Awards, which is why I think the GCA is pointless

Yeah I really don’t like Noemi as a protagonist. She’s passive on top of being that kind of character who is supposed to be snarky but it comes off as annoying :/
