So far all of these characters are abhorrent. Hope this improves quickly.

As someone living in and experiencing the places in this book, I’m getting more than slightly annoyed at all the name-dropping. Rook. Booskerdoo. How You Brewin’? I can’t really explain why it’s bothering me so much—I think the author is trying way too hard.

This woman is an absolute idiot.

OMG WE GET IT SHE KIKES DARK ROAST COFFEE AND ONLY FEEDS HER KID MAC AND CHEESE.

Narrator: it’s Matawan pronounced “Mat” not “Mot”. Ugh

Passed the halfway mark & I still have no idea wtf is going on.

I am having so many problems with this story. The narrator is an idiot. And also, why TF do I care what you’re wearing everyday? “I tug on a pair of jeans, pull on a cream-colored sweater with little yellow flecks of yarns, lace up a pair of chunky leather boots.” Is this integral to the plot??? No??? Then just say your threw on jeans and a comfy sweater. FFS

WTAF is going on in this book. I’m halfway done and haven’t got a clue.

So, within the first pages the main character laments being married for 25 years, but TWICE also mentions they've been married for over thirty years. The book takes place in 2010 and the couple met in 1985.

I'm getting really sick of crappy copy editing mistakes. Also I wonder if we're going to find out WHY the book takes place in 2010, instead of more recently?

You invite the woman into your home but don’t think to get her cell phone number? The only way to reach her is through FB messenger?!? I thought I liked this author’s work but this one is implausible, full of stilted dialogue and grammatical errors.

Rage reading at this point. The whole plot is stupid but I’m too far in to turn back now.

Really really good so far. I’m glad it veered away from BFFs squabbling, but boy did it take a dark turn! Advice for audiobook listeners: the 2nd half of this book is not good to listen to while running. I don’t like to listen to descriptions of other peoples breathing problems while I, too, am having breathing problems 😂

Danny DeVito is the ONLY choice for narrating this book. I’m enjoying it so much I want to start it over so my daughter can listen to it with me!

I really, really wanted to finish this last night but could just not stay awake. Really enjoying it. I do love epistolary novels, but this one is really, really well done. I have no idea how it’s going to end, just like the staffers reading through the materials.
