I'm SCARED dawg something diabolical is going to happen

Lol guys I remember absolutely zilch from hell bent other than One Particular Scene Everyone Knows What I Am Talking About however I figure this is the perfect vibe to be reading while in Edinburgh in the fall so I am putting my head down and reading this. On my phone because every physical copy has a massive queue. I'm starting to become British the way I be saying queue instead of line

bruh i know this i how the ballad goes but i still want to jump thomas. girl the faerie queen!!!!!

marking currently read so i remember to return
picked up b/c i don't want to do my actual readings (lol) and this is the only essay collection my library has on maud. very intrigued by the introduction alone. i feel like i need to cross-reference all the epperly stuff i have not read loll

oh brother I sure do wonder how this thread of intense nationalistic propaganda is going to play out I sure do wonder if I will end up crashing out because there is no way this ends well RIGHT

took me two chapters to recognize that pierce is perceval and hal fisher is the fisher king. what else will mckillip pull i wonder—i know this is a mishmash of arthurian legends but starting off with perceval is crazy

sjm really looked at the concept of fae and said yeah I'll just strip them of every single thing that makes them fae. then they can be hot love interests! HOLY MOLY GIRL WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY CAN LIE AND ARENT WEAK TO IRON AND CAN BREAK THEIR BARGAINS??? im crashing out to an astonishing extent. what do you think fae ARE

there are so many interesting concepts in here. the high fae are not included in that list of interesting concepts. feyre is a Y/N. "this is a billionaire romance" - queenie. War (capital W) lmao

sjm humanizing the fae is geniunely crazy work i don't care how "inhuman" they look, attributing human concepts of mercy and compassion to them is ridiculous and i dont gaf if theyre hot or whatever i cant believe im only 20% through this thing what am i even doing to myself. queenie is about to murder me for making her read this with me

I generally like t. kingfisher but I am actually straight up bored are we cooked chat I don't think I care about the plot very much. big fan of the mirror idea because uhh well I just like that trope but I'm beginning to recognize people's problems with her retellings (i.e. the characters... do we have personalities? help)

something something time and remembrance w o w !!

this class is so odd i am enjoying the content so much and i think i like this book so far however i and everyone else am beefing with the professor. unfortunately really

bro is genuinely ridiculous

darragh my goat what the heck man
fine i don't dislike fainne i lowkey like her more than i did liadan at this point. maybe cause she has an actual character arc
johnny, burdened by the prophecy...

man. im so scared lmao

Good lord bro I'm of the humble opinion that I would like to knock some sense into Fainne and you go oh but her upbringing-- oh but the blackmail-- NO SHE NEEDS SOMEONE TO CLOCK HER OVER THE HEAD AT THIS POINT ???
I am in fact just being incredibly mean because there's a ton of really good stuff to work with here but I truly do not think it has to be Like This currently. hopefully I change my mind

alright i am going insane enough that i need to leave a note
i still would like to smack bran across the face
tam lin mentioned !!! i was wondering if marillier would bring that story in !!! lets fricken go
tbh i don't know how much i like this so far i am #Afraid and #Concerned i am here for the power of storytelling & stories within stories (this is also not a retelling so...)

chat i cant lie i shoudl NAWT be reading this rn per the usual but im lowkey going a little feral already thank you juliet marillier. indistinct screaming

i think i read heaney in high school? do not remember. i like this one though

shockingly easy to read and i am actually invested

hey guys lol I remember a flat total of ZILCH!!! from the first book this is abt to go really well!

the thing is there's a lot in this book that i could really really like if i weren't busy being mad about the romance. i think i need to stop reading YA lmao

forgot how utterly bonkers kate and christopher's first convo was. i think that i love elizabeth marie pope's writing dearly

WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEASN IM OLDER THAN NIFFY NOW???? SORRY W H A TT!!!!?????
i also forgot bro doesn't show up until the third book he's such a staple of the series to me lmaoo

RIGHT IT'S TAKEN ME UNTIL 2025 TO REALIZE MAXI IS ROBESPIERRE AM I UNOBSERVANT OR AM I WHAT LMAOOOO

WE'RE SO UNFATHOMABLY BACKK KKKKK
