My 9-Yr old son and I have been working through this series as our before bedtime reading and it hasn’t let us down through three books.

Key points:
1.) Our Old Self Was Crucified With Christ. Romans 6:3–6 “Our old self was crucified with him…”
2.) New Life in Union With Christ. Ephesians 2:4–6 “…God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms…”
3.) Living by Christ in Us. Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…”
4.)

Reading this book bring back a slight feeling of teenage angst. JK Rowling’s ability to age the tone of the books with the characters has always impressed me.

The book explores some interesting themes and is a worthwhile read. That said, it can get a bit dry at times (e.g., long stretches where the author lays out the text of an instruction manual).
