It’s probably too early to jump on the hater train, but this book reads like an 18 year old wrote it.
An 18 year old who maybe earned a B- in their English class.

It’s impressive when a book can jump scare you! 😅

It’s a good thing this is a work of fiction and couldn’t really happen, otherwise this would be a very scary read. But thankfully this could never happen… right guys??

Already some interesting narration on the differences between “freedom to” and “freedom from.” The costs of certain types of protection.

Finally back to reading after the hell that was the first half of May. I’m happy this is the book I’m coming back to.
Such a slow burn…

Page one and Grace is already crying. Classic. If this wasn’t the last book in the series, I wouldn’t be reading it. As it is the last book, and I always feel a strong need to learn what happens to characters… here I am.

Given my review of the last book, I went into this one very pessimistic. My skepticism quickly vanished as I realized what story this book was telling.

Grace has only annoyed me once so far, so fingers crossed I can continue to enjoy the remaining 70%.
