I’m having a hard time with Petra suddenly seeming as if she can see a lot more when earlier she was bumping into a door jamb because she couldn’t see it. Now she can see a bee on a flower?

It’s very unclear at this point if their other parent is around? How would they not have been sent through CPS— they can’t have been 18 when it happened (if they were juniors).

Well, I had ensured that to happen.

I’m really not liking the way this is unfolding, mealy because I feel like it’s been sort of heavily handled. The other books didn’t have this clobber you over the head feeling —Hest is despicable but I find it hard to believe that his time as a « slave » left him completely unchanged.

This is beginning to strain my suspension of disbelief.
