Finished the first book in this volume, and I just am still astounded by how many little details of character and plot are dropped and discarded throughout these books. It’s the third in the series and the author couldn’t keep track of *when and where* the MC and love interest overhead a conversation that sets off the whole story. What is the editor even doing

Well, that was sure a first book. It had so much potential but alas, 2/5. I hope the second book is better

…not edited well at all. I kept thinking the odd words were just usages I wasn’t familiar with, but I’ve found a few words that are outright incorrect and confusing (concentration as opposed to conversation). And this is a re-release!

There are so many little inconsistencies and we’re only a third of the way through. I’m not sure I’m going to believe whoever the murderer turns out to be, because there’s a decent chance the key clue was misrepresented early on
