Loving this!!!

Star Wars ("the force is with you") meets Harry Potter (umbra are similar to patroni) meets A Song of Ice and Fire (the dark enemy beyond the wall), but still it is a story on its own. I'm liking it very well thus far.

I don't want this to end!!! ❤️

I think it is very violent and patriarchic thus far but I begin to enjoy it more and more now everybody (incl. Maria and Lorena) is on the road to find one another.

I never wanted to read this series but when grandma says I'd love it, I can no longer refuse 😉

Very much looking forward to reading this book on the Israel-Palastine conflict from the Palastine point of view. I've read quite some books from Israeli and Jewish authors, but none from authors of Palastine descendance.

Does anyone else think this is written rather sexist?! In Harari's examples, it's always a man that discovers something wonderful, but it's a woman that betrays her husband with another man and it was a woman who went to see the doctor!

How did I never read this one?! I was convinced I did but Goodreads never lies 🙈

Ooff this book is quite boring somehow... Nothing too exciting happening on Brienne's journey and I just detest the Iron Islands story line 🙄 Give me back Tyrion!! Thank goodness there's Jaime and Cersei ❤

Episode 15: madness, but at least it is meant to be madness, so I enjoyed this (lucky me, since this is the longest episode of the book)

Episode 14: pure hell. I supposed its nice that language from about a 1000 years of literature os used in this episode, slowly going from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, but its hell. What a waste of ink.

Episode 13: lovely style.

Episode 10: funny all these little stories. But hoooow many characters are there??
Episode 11: S.O. W.E.I.R.D.

Episode 4: Oh this is a RELIEF.
Episode 5-8: This is quite nice. I actually enjoy this stream of consciousness thing. I can actually -I think- understand what’s going on. Maybe Ulysses isn’t that bad. (little voice in head: oh beware. There’s going to be style changes, you’ve read that. This isn't rated the most impossible book ever without reason. There’s a 40-page long sentence coming up. Just… enjoy but beware.)

Episode 3: OMFG I WANT TO DIE. NO WHY SHOULD I DIE. THE BOOK SHOULD DIE. I’M GOING TO RIP IT APART!!!! WHY THE HELL IS THERE SO MUCH LATIN AND FRENCH. IT REMINDS ME OF THE FACT THAT I LEARNED BOTH AT SCHOOL AND I HATE THAT I LOST ALL OF IT.
Ok I am just going to skip the rest of this episode as I already learned the Leopold Blooms episodes should be easier to read.

Episode 2: Hm. Where is this gonna lead to? Maybe I should check on how to read Ulysses first before continuing this.
- Takes a little break to read Hamlet and reread the Odyssey because people say it helps. Doesn’t read any other James Joyce books as his writing style in these first two episodes aren’t really my thing –

I am literally afraid of this book. It had been sitting on my shelf for at least 4 years and now finally the time has come. I started it.

If you have read all of Dan Brown's novels, you know how this is going to end after page 100 the latest.
