This book is frustrating to me. The main character, Megan, comes off as entitled, codependent, and super needy. Shes never lived on her own so staying at home alone 5 days a week is just oh so hard on her - she's just sooo lonely. She finds out she's pregnant and says she doesn't know how she feels about it until her boyfriend says how he feels about it - then she agrees. Shes pitiful.

Oh hell yeah, this is sooooo good! CREEPY!!!

This is different than the other Hurwitz books I've read. Not as suspenseful. Im still interested and want to get back to it, but it's just not what I was expecting or hoping for. So far a 3 star listen. Improved by a fantastic narrator.

Here we go. The final 10 hrs! The end is on the horizon...

Whoo Hoo! Halfway through! A 40 hr audiobook paired with not a lot of quality listening time makes for very slow progress. But I'm not holding anything against the story! I love it! At the half-way point, it's an absolute 5 star listen! The narators are exceptional. I'm excited to see how everyone continues to come together...

Oh WOW! I am LOVING this story! It has lots of moving parts but it is not hard to follow as each character makes such an impression on me.

Average zombie tale...the chicken soup for my soul. But this this book has an annoying @ss lead character. She's bad enough that i knew a while ago that i cannot continue with this series. Book 1 will be plenty.

I am loving this book. The writing is poetic and enchanting. Its slower than what i prefer, but somehow it's working for me this time.

Oh Hell Yes! This book is freaking scary!! Listening at night in the dark and loving it!

Its alright. Nothing in particular stands out...typical zombie story so far. It's a bit annoying how much the main character calls people "fatties," "fat asses," fat ladies," "clearly likes eating pie," "must have been eating 2 pieces," fat, fat, fat. That shit gets old.

Bravo! How did it take me so long to get to this perfect spooky old house book? I love it!

Just restarted this favorite i last read in 2018. Several more books have come out in the series since then. Im starting over from the beginning and excited to re-read this fast moving, suspenseful, post apocalyptic adventure!

Well i thought this book was new to me until i went to log it into goodreads...and found i read it in 2015. I do not remember any of it.

Just started this earlier tonight and i cant put it down! I love it!

This is what I've been looking for in horror. I love it!

Quick read so far. Much less horror and much more teen fiction. Hope it gets better ir i may return it. I wasnt looking to read so much about high school social life when i bought a "horror" book.

Slow to get going on the thriller/ suspense part. Im on Ch. 17 and so far, 95% of the book is about how she idolized her father growing up, and how normal his ways were to her. It's fiction, but it feels more like I'm reading a memoir than something even somewhat suspenseful. I'm holding on for it to take off any minute now, but I'm starting to lose hope.

Ive had 22 min left for about 4 days now! Cant pay attention lately. Hope to power through today!

This is really good!!! I picked it up on a whim when i didn't have time and I'm so hooked! I usually listen to my books to help fall asleep, but this one just wakes me up more! I don't totally love the main character, but her personality is perfect for the story. Ok, going back to my book now...

And this is why i love Hurwitz! Never slow or boring. Definitely keeps me up at night and draws me back for more.

Notes: good but im a bit bored with it. I've caught myself looking fwd to my next book. Neighbors seem to be doing much more than Jamie & Christie think. Any day now the crap must hit the fan.

I am really interested in this book. It focuses on a woman who joined a cult type religious group and is now facing the brutal realities of possible jail time in "the real world."

So far average book. Maybe 3 or 3.5 *s...

Im listening on audio but not making any progress on this one. I have replayed Chapter 1 about 5x but when i go to move on, i can't remember anything. It's just not grabbing me at all. I may move on to something else. This was a free listen on Audible (w/ membership).

First 2 hours were just cringeworthy. I could not stand how annoying the main character was. Perfect, perfect, perfect. She wanted everything to be just perfect in her life and spent considerable time and effort to be "perfect." Yuck! Her whirlwind relationship screamed red flags and she was so hopeless i nearly gave up...but then it got a bit better. I'll see where it goes.

Been working on this 10 days and mostly restarting bc i dont know whats going on. It always puts me to sleep.
