“Life, in the end, is a lot like a search engine: as you make decisions, your options get fewer, until you have to choose between two or three and pray you haven't made a mistake.”

Oh god why is this book so long, i hate it

“For anything to be good, truly good, there must be love in it. Whether the art is sculpture, farming, teaching, lawmaking, medicine, music, or raising a child – nothing is what it's supposed to be if love is not at the core.”

Wooooo boy, this one is entertaining.

I adore Sarina as a person, and am enjoying getting to know her through her writing as well.

“But the wicked have a different head for numbers than most. Any bad they do will end up on the side of never-mind. What’s done to them weighs double.”

Can’t put this down!

More recollection than memoir, beautifully written but also a little stagnant.
