Already this book is starting out worse than the first one. There is no buildup or setting the stage. I would have thought there would be at least something since it’s been more than a year since the last book but there’s very little introduction to what the characters have been up to.

This mystery feels a little predictable but it gives me Murder She Wrote vibes if Jessica Fletcher was slightly more grouchy.

I am enjoying this book better than the first one.

This book started at 100% real quick

I’m on Chapter 4 and I’m balling my eyes out.

The third act plot twist was not something I expected and was honestly a little jarring? But you know what at least it’s not a misunderstanding romance trope.

I’m really enjoying the writing of this book. Ngl I was expecting this to sound like some of the typical cozy/contemporary fiction books I usually read but the writing and tone for now is different in a good way.

Reading this book makes me realize that I should read more sapphic romance

Sometimes when I think I am finally understanding what is going on in this book. Muir throws me another curveball.

God I love the writing of this series so much
