Excellent collection of short stories about women who encounter all types of difficulties with life, love, men, and families. Beautifully and often humorously told, each protagonist’s story ends with hope and/or redemption. Loved these stories.

Read this as a teen. Thought it was a YA book It really left an impression then.

Who is familiar with W. Kamau Bell? I am going to take a look at some of his work... will I be disappointed? Not really liking this book.... way to wordy and not really funny to me. However, his life lessons and experiences are interesting.
