Needed something to read on the train on my Kindle, though it pained me to leave The Favourites behind, I couldn’t face the thought of finishing it and having nowt to read on the journey.

Showstopping. Unputdownable. And a twist on Wuthering Heights? It is everything I could have wanted.

So, so good. Neither of us wants it to end.

Is it another Rachel Reid book? You bet your ass it is!

Super fun. Always nervous starting a sequel in case it’s not as good as the first, but this matches the tender and funny balance of the first so far!

Great read so far - slight criticism is I think it could have done with tighter editing, some of the points made are a bit hit-you-in-the-face and I’m like ‘yes, I get it…’ also some of the then/now juxtapositions are slightly jarring and I’d have liked a bit more jumping so there’s less of a reveal.
