Max Brallier is coming to our library for a visit so I figured I should read something of his!

Holy shit, it’s so good so far! Ahh!

This book is so looong! We’ve already had multiple sexytime scenarios and the skate team and hockey teams are learning to work together so I figured there’d be some big misunderstanding to clear up and then we’d be done…. No! I’m only a third of the way through! And we haven’t even gotten to a main plot point from the blurb??

I needed something familiar, sweet, and satisfying-- so here I am!

I’m still a ball of weirdly knotted emotions and I needed something familiar and cathartic to get lost in— having just recommended this one to a friend (hi Laura!), I realized it’s kinda perfect for my mental state right now, too.

Ready for this.

I know there are ALL THE BOOKS IN THE WORLD to read but it feels right to start the year off with this series. I just bought them all (because of the holiday sale— thanks, Jess!) and I’ve read this first book a handful of times but the others only once each.

I’m ready for this adventure again!

100% chose this for the name alone, because it sounds absolutely ridiculous and like something I can read quickly (soooo cloooose to my reading challenge goal).

I’ve been wanting to reread the series lately and today’s just been a Bit of a Day so it seemed like a good idea. Plus I’m behind on my reading challenge so reading this series will help bring that up very quickly, haha. SO EXCITED for this adventure again!

Whoa, in the 9 years I've been on Goodreads I never marked this one as read?! (Also, I've been using this site for 9 years?! Dang!) It was one of my favorites growing up! The movie is on Netflix and I watched all of about 10 minutes before remembering just how much I hated it— so off to reread it I go!

Alas, another book that I had to return because someone else has a hold on it.

I had to return my copy since other people had holds on it-- BUT I'm back on the hold list and can't wait to continue reading!

I randomly remembered reading this book series in middle school-- I want to say I bought the books at a Scholastic Book Fair-- and fortunately a library in our consortium had it, so now I'm revisiting mermaids (sorry, "mermyds") in Atlantis to help break up the serious-toned YA novels I've been reading!

I helped an 11-year-old patron find Dear America books and we bonded over which one we thought was best (Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie, duh) so now we're going to have a Wednesday night book club dedicated to the series and this was one of her recommendations for me. I loved reading these as a kid and I'm excited to revisit them as an adult!

Re-reading one of my all-time favorites for a book club and wishing Kurt Vonnegut were still alive. Gosh I love this man.
