Re-reading for school. Setting is 100 years ago! Yikes...

Very science heavy, but a beautiful story so far.

Not a SciFi fan typically, but enjoying this so far. Want to read before watching the movie.

One of the few books that's I'm reading and not listening too. Have started this book so many times, love all film adaptations, and am finally really enjoying the book. Only read during the summer, so will pick back up in a few months.

Reading again before next unit in American Lit - grade 11.

Really a tough story to read - knowing that it's based on reality.

A book about books. A book about book clubs. Throw in beach, beach side cafe, and food preparation.

Unexpected start but such a fun story so far. Beach, seaside Cafe, books, and a book club! Exactly the kind of read I need right now.

Not particularly liking Whoopi Goldberg as the narrator - not enough inflection or change in tone to denote change of character in dialogue. But, pushing through and enjoying the story.

This is a long book, and I already don't want to finish it. I may slow down and read some of my other books for a bit, and then return to this one. Theo feels like a family member who I want to keep around longer.

Such a relaxing and warm story so far. The narrator's voice is just perfect for this story. Listening to the voice and the story feels like a warm hug.

When my daughter recommends a book and is anxious to discuss when I'm finished reading - I set aside other books...

Start listening and the then set aside again. I think I'm still in denial.

Still enjoying this. Didn't pick because of Valentine's Day, but found it the perfect distraction after a very a busy Valentine's day....

Completely outside my normal reading, but wanted a light-hearted, enjoyable book that includes fun banter, healthy mom-daughter relationship, and successful co-parenting. Exactly what I needed.

I've owned this book for a bit now, but wasn't ready to read it. I ask my high school English students to read a non-fiction or memoir and one young male student picked this one. If he is brave enough to read it, then I need to as well.

Enjoying

Heard about this book on BookTube, and it's as good as it was said to be. Moments of darkness and extremely difficult scenes to read (listen to), but I'm definitely anxious to see if Lev and Kolya complete their "mission."

I relate to this protagonist is SO many ways that it's unnerving... Loving every bit of this!
