Nice DI Kim Stone mystery. I'm enjoying the search for the missing boys as well as the mounting evidence that at least some of the Blackpool squad are corrupt.

I've enjoyed the story and the characters, but I'm starting to get a bit impatient for the climax. The suspense is there, but it's pretty low key and the romance is such a slow burn that the story is beginning to drag a bit.

Nora Roberts always writes characters that come alive on the page, making enjoyment of the story easy.

We know the villains and their motive. The only question is when they will get around to the FMC.

I'm enjoying the story and characters. The first part is mostly set up for the relationships and the suspense. Lots of atmosphere and character development. Nora Roberts' writing is never boring no matter what the context, and this is no exception.

Excellent level of suspense. Lots of characters, though, so I'm having a bit of trouble with that.

I think I know where this book is going, but the writing is enjoyable and the characters are interesting. I really hope I can get caught up in this series, but I have a long way to go.

I'm enjoying this book, lots of banter and some laugh out loud moments. Characterization is well written, and after watching Jessica's video from Peacelovebooks tonight talking about the yearning that is missing in romance lately, I do actually feel the yearning in this story.

Fun - grumpy/sunshine.

I really liked the prologue of this book. It not only sets up this story, but what I assume will be others in the series as well. Also, in just 4 pages, we get insight into all of the characters presented. I hope the story continues to be just as interesting.

I'm just not seeing the fun in this book that has been mentioned by other reviewers.

I'm enjoying the quotes "not" from famous rom-coms at the beginning of each chapter, but otherwise, I feel like I'm missing something. The characters seem cartoonish and underdeveloped, so I'm finding that I don't care about them. I'll give the book some more time, but it may end up being a DNF.

In the beginning, Dancy was so unlikable, but the characterization is wonderful, making her seem like so much more.

Actress and athlete, high school sweethearts who lost their way. Both with lots of baggage. I'm enjoying the characters and the story so far.

Heavy start to this book included an on page home invasion, rape, and murder.

I'm really enjoying the mystery of Jazz and her background. So many secrets have yet to be revealed. The book started out with just enough of the budding romance between partners Jazz and Xavier, and then jumped into the story involving Jazz's past and her missing brother. Great stuff!

The last Option Zero novel was really a disappointment. Even though it had a high rating on Goodreads, I found it to be a very weak addition to the series. If this one isn't better, then I probably won't continue with this series.

This is the first true romantic suspense I've read in a while. The suspense builds right along with the romance.

So far there is a nice balance between romance and suspense, and the plot is enjoyable.

I've really been looking forward to reading this because the reviews have been great, but there is almost no conflict. Hallie and Rio haven't gotten over each other, and they get along really well. The only issue is why they broke up originally. I'm really bored. I don't want to DNF, but I also don't want to go back into my slump that already lasted 8 months.

The most interesting part so far is not knowing what split up Hallie and Rio in the first place. I guess we will learn what that is later in the story.

The spit play gives me a bit of the ick.

The story so far has been about getting to know the characters and some secrets about the time, Faye, the FMC, left town. What is unclear to me is why Faye would come back to her home town and expect to do undercover work when so many people already know her.

I liked the first book in this series, but I did think it was a little over hyped. I'm interested to see if I feel the same way about this one.

The game being played by the killer makes the novel more enjoyable. Even though this is really my kind of story, I'm having trouble feeling engaged with the characters. Not sure why.
