This has been such a struggle to get through. This book has so much promise, but the main character is so annoying and just impossible to deal with on page.

How can people deal with this writing style. How do people love this?

Have no clue what this boom is about so I guess I’ll be starting over 😩☺️

This imperially not bad just not what I’m used to reading. Probably will DNF but the movie was decent.

The first book took me 4 time to complete. It wasn’t bad and clearly I like it enough to keep starting over but I don’t know why I haven’t completed this.

I loved this series when it first started but I can’t stand Rowan and Dorian was the best thing that would keep me reading but what’s happening with his character? Manson is boring! 🥱

This is clearly an another version of a story that already exists. Reminds me of some old world America story.

Hate hate hate hate hate hate. Loathe entirely. Why did people like these books?! It’s a clear rip off of ACOTAR. The world has suck promise but the terrible writing is killing it for me. Usually I let the writing slide of the world building is decent and the characters have depth. 😩 I want this to be over. I didn’t even remember what I’ve read.

Good writing so far. But this reminds me of Crowns of Nyaxia books.

I didn’t even know this boom had been out for months. I have to be honest I’m not a fan of most of the characters at this point. The last book of the trilogy was a let down. So far I’ve had to restart this once and usually that’s not a good sign. But I’ll keep trying.

I hate I spent more real American dollars on this. I only wanted to see if the author redeemed herself in the next but boy was I wrong. 😒 How the hell cN she do all this with this particular chronic illness. It’s still not explained!

Better than I thought it would be. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews so I began to become skeptical about reading it. However, it's turning out to be a good book. It reminds me of The Pledge series and Other series by Aimee Carter (I can't remember title at the moment)

Very interesting just no time to read. Not in love with the characters but the story is so beautifully written I will definitely keep reading.

I want you like this book but something about it is slow...and I think I stopped because I discovered ACOTAR...well you understand if you've read it.

As much as I liked divergent I can't get into this book. I like the movie well enough but I just cant. maybe...probably not.

So this is my second attempt at this book. It's not bad at all. However it took me 3 times before I finished the first book BUT I read it through twice because it was so long since I read it the first time. So hopefully this gets better.

Yeah probably not going to finish this book. Movie was good but I'm not into a lot of contemporary or mystery/thriller unless it's relatable to my life in some way or really good.

I picked this up because I'm obsessed with anything Atlantis however I have to re-rent this from the library.

I want to dinosaur this book. It wasn't bad I just had to return it to the library and never went back to renew it.

I want to love this story so much... I love the descriptions don writing style. But it's also a bit annoying at the same time. And the story is slow and hard to understand with the writing style....

I loved the first 3 books on this series. After I finished them years ago and couldn't get into the spin off I founds out this series continued...why? It was done! And now as much as I love Simon I don't get the rest of the book and what's up with Jace?!

This is not a bad book. However I have tried to read this twice in the last two years and can only get past 4 or 5 chapters. Don't know why I can't get going. It's a bit flat but I'm interested interesting retellings like this.

Omg I hate every Emma in character in this series. I wasn't in love with chaol but even in his heartbroken state, he is more ingesting that's Rowlanea or Whatever her name is. She's like an adult child. Manon's story line takes away from the story for me but I guess she's changing.... so I'm a sucker for change. The only reason I'm still reading this is Dorian. He's the only reason I read past the first book...

This book sounds like what happened during the Beginning of "America". People fleeing one country to screw up the next and tame the "savages"... *eye roll* sounds like every history book ever written by a white man crossed with The Selection Series.
