I'm like 25 minutes into this and I so badly want to read Marian's story.

Book # 3 came out on audio, so I'm *finally* reading this, hooray!

I disliked the narrator in the first book of this series and I'm climbing up the walls with this book. Is it the narrator or the book that's making it seem so tedious? Because I like certain points! I do! But it's also dragggging. I can't tell at this point. I'm about to put it down and try shelving it until I can read the ebook, not the audio.

This is one of the best series names.

I'm re-reading this on audio via Hoopla (both because I loved it the first time and I prefer audiobooks to be things I've read before, and also because it was one of only 2 Stacy Reid eaudios available to me at my library) and I realized I never reviewed this the first time even though I genuinely, outright loved it. Shame face emoji.

So, I *appreciate* the probable ace/aro rep with Katherine (esp as someone who considers herself on the aro scale, more or less). I do. But I also ship Jane and Katherine SO HARD that it's stupid.

This book is slaying me. I think in a good way? I'm not entirely sure; I only know that I'm either extremely resentful when I have to stop reading or extremely relieved because I need the emotional break.

I was actually able to interrupt my uncontrollable historical binge for this, and it's so stinking cute I could cry.

My mild OCD often inspires me to go through "stages," i.e. eating the same thing for breakfast & lunch every day for 4 months. It occasionally creeps into my reading, but usually only briefly when it does. Lately, I've ONLY wanted to read straight-up historical fiction. It's been 2 months, 21 books (with 1 exception). It can't be fantasy or paranormal. Anything else upsets me or ends up a DNF. This is new.
