Okay, I've struggled through 25% of this book and made it to Part 2. Despite my reluctance to quit a book, I've had enough of this dull one. The part about Gulliver peeing on the queen's quarters to put out the fire was amusing; otherwise, this book is not good enough to finish. Color me done.

I bought Bob Woodward's _Fear_ yesterday, but can't even start it until I find out what happens in this book -- and I may have to read Part III as soon as I finish this one.
